biography
wyssem nochi holds a bachelor of fine arts from parsons school of design in new york, and a master of arts from the architectural association in London. he taught at the lebanese american university and worked as a consultant in building restoration for solidere. he has shown works in several galleries in beirut (Lebanon), and participated in various competitions. he obtained the table rase furniture competition award for chairs c/w in 1997 and received two lebanese ministry of culture awards for walk hole in 1997, and the fitness speedometer in 1999. he has produced works in architecture and interior design, and developed products in limited batch editions and one-offs. amongst his research studies are: urban plans, installations, videos, writings in english and french, and different scale ephemeral / permanent environmental art projects.
